Project 12 Architecture is an architectural firm designing and delivering lasting residential and institutional buildings that promise enduring, inclusive spaces for living, learning and longevity.

Established in 2012 in Melbourne/Naarm by principals Aimee Goodwin and Louis Gadd, the firm has built a reputation for its considered residential and award-winning public buildings and its commitment to using design to transform lives and communities.

Project 12 Architecture’s collaborative, Principal-led approach results in architecture distinguished for its craftmanship, elegance and pragmatism, sensitivity to site, budget, social and environmental contexts.

Our Values

Whether we are designing residential, public or institutional buildings, our award-winning work is underpinned by four essential pillars.

Improving People’s Lives

We believe that architecture has the power to transform lives and communities. Whether it is in a public setting, or a home for a changing family’s needs, our focus is on improving the daily lives of the people who live, work, learn and use the calm, purposeful spaces we design and build. Our work reflects this.

Responsibility

We feel an acute sense of responsibility for the buildings we produce, the lands and surrounds on which we build and the lives affected by them. As well as our clients’ specific needs, our designs sensitively respond to site, cultural heritage, sustainability, planning constraints and all compliance and accreditation matters.

Beautiful, timeless spaces

Through every detail of our personal, unique designs, we seek harmony and joy. We unapologetically aim to raise happiness and wellbeing levels through the sustainable materials and colour palettes we choose, site orientation, compassionate design solutions and architectural experiences.

Understanding

We take the time to listen, to truly understand each client brief, its context and the people who will use the space. With a basis of ethical decision-making, we work with genuine care, empathy, harnessing the efficacy of respectful, active listening and open-mindedness in all our professional relationships.
